It was so long ago that no one can remember when the dogs first appeared on the streets of the small, modern-day town called Raymont. There were movements to eradicate the strays, but they turned out to be futile and the people have long since given up hope at giving them homes again -- they know the dogs would just escape once more. Over time, three packs formed: Rani, the calm and loyal; Kaira, the proud and fierce; Belisaire, the nurturing and kind. Territories were established, but a fourth group didn't like the pack way of life and remained living solitary: the loners. The dogs, once careful pets but now hardy waifs, live life on the edge. Remain a housedog or flee to the streets: it's your choice.

A new pack has formed in Raymont, unknown to most of the dogs. The new pack, aptly named the Mafia, is rather evil: they terrorize the packs and wreak havoc in the usually calm and peaceful land.
Rani and Balto fought back against the Mafia, but still they were afraid. The Mafia killed and hurt several dogs, but still the two packs refused to surrender.
But Kaira watched the Mafia and decided they were good. They looked up to this evil pack and decided to team up with it.
Rani and Balto buckled under the strain of the two other packs, but still they tried to fight back. A battle looms in the distance... can you survive?

The pitiful chain link fence proved to be a small obstacle when the thin dog made his way over it with ease. Very little was able to keep Cairo from what he wanted, whether it be a fence, dog or even a human. He wasn't afraid of attacking or killing and would never hold back even if it did cause a death in the process. When he reached the other side of the fence, he looked back at it and smirked. Staying here for a little would let the heat of what had just occurred die down a little. He had attacked a young man but it wasn't Cairo's fault , he asked for it when he threw rocks at the brute trying to scare him away. As Cairo saw it, it was self-defense.

Not like any humans would take his side though. Why would they; he was a stray. Vermin in their eyes, an eyesore that was to be wiped out at all costs. Only the tough survived in this city which probably explained why Cairo survived this long. If he didn't find shelter soon however, he would surely die by morning. Nights were even colder then the crappy days and with Cairo's short hair, there was no way he would be able to produce enough heat to venture out in the cold so he searched for a simple shelter where he could hide out.

This wasn't the nicest place in the city but that suited Cairo just fine. Who needed all the every day commotions that erupted within the city;cars, humans, dogs. No thanks. Cairo was perfectly content staying in a place where he could be alone and not have the constant worry of being found and shot. This was his turf now, and he would be sure to let every dog be aware in the morning. He found a car with a broken window a couple feet in front of him. He loped towards it and quickly raised himself to his two back feet, placing his two front feet on the passenger door and peered inside.

It wasn't particularly nice inside. The seats had rips and holes, the clutch was halfway off and it had the odor of cigarette smoke and mildew. Cairo wasn't a classy dog and really didn't care if it smelled like piss. He moved his front paws into the broken window frame and thrust himself upwards until he felt the nice bouncy feel of fabric underneath him. He grabbed the clutch with his powerful jaws and tore it from its last remaining wires holding it in place. When he looked in the back seat, he noticed a couple of blankets that could offer him extra heat. He clambered into the back seat, crawled under the blankets and began to chew on his new toy, waiting for the night to pass.

The dark peppered dog wobbled through the grass. Her eyes were bloodshot as she stumbled towards the chain link fence. Her tounge lolled and foam was forming in the corners of her jaws. She stumbled forward as if she were drunk, but in truth, she was only craving a drink. A drink of blood . She felt the wind woosh past her and she let out a blood curtling scream. "FATHER!" she screeched, her head shooting up and looking straight into the sky. "Be pleased with me!" she howled and lunged forward. Her eyes took up a more crazed look. She could smell a dog. That meant blood. That meant death. That meant pleasing her father's spirit. She laughed and crashed into the fence. It didn't move. Fury bubbled in her. How dare this fence not move for her! She bared her teeth and lunged at the fence, snarling viciously and biting at it. She stepped back and aimed a crazed glare at the fence before she backed up and jumped over it. She landed with a thud, and she slashed at the ground in anger. Then she lifted her nose and howled. She had the scent of the dog, and she lunged after it. She came to an old car, and the smell was overpowering. "Prepare to meet your maker!" she screamed and launched herself through the window. With a snarl she whirled around looking for the dog. She saw it in the backseat and she lunged at its throat. "Prey to the spirits," she hissed at him as she aimed for his chest.
