It was so long ago that no one can remember when the dogs first appeared on the streets of the small, modern-day town called Raymont. There were movements to eradicate the strays, but they turned out to be futile and the people have long since given up hope at giving them homes again -- they know the dogs would just escape once more. Over time, three packs formed: Rani, the calm and loyal; Kaira, the proud and fierce; Belisaire, the nurturing and kind. Territories were established, but a fourth group didn't like the pack way of life and remained living solitary: the loners. The dogs, once careful pets but now hardy waifs, live life on the edge. Remain a housedog or flee to the streets: it's your choice.

A new pack has formed in Raymont, unknown to most of the dogs. The new pack, aptly named the Mafia, is rather evil: they terrorize the packs and wreak havoc in the usually calm and peaceful land. Rani and Balto fought back against the Mafia, but still they were afraid. The Mafia killed and hurt several dogs, but still the two packs refused to surrender. But Kaira watched the Mafia and decided they were good. They looked up to this evil pack and decided to team up with it. Rani and Balto buckled under the strain of the two other packs, but still they tried to fight back. A battle looms in the distance... can you survive?

AMITYVILLE Out Of The Mist A Ghost From The Past...
The air was heavy with fog, clinging and suffocating in it's curled path through trees and bushes. It hung to the blades of grass like thick blood, the scent overpowering everything under it's mask. Dark paws seemed to be the only movement, a large shadow weaving through the mists on a chaotic path. Its canine form drifting along with ease, a ghostly black figure.
Nostrils flared as the female lowered her muzzle to the ground, drawing in the smell of dew-sodden earth. Other dogs owned this terra, she knew that much from the stench here. Their markings lay heavily at the base of every bush and tree. This dog wasn't to be taken lightly though, every muscle in her body was toned and rested, hardened under a thick, yet short pelt of ebony fur, slicked to her form with moisture from the early morning air.
Amityville slowed to a stop at the edge of the tree line, looking up at the hill that rose before her like the back of a sleeping bear. Blue eyes scanned the surroundings for any signs of movement. None could be found. It was safe here for the moment. Slowly she began walking again, moving up the slope carefully, her lopped ears pinned forward, listening to the quiet sounds of dawn.
The sun had only just begun rising, it's long streaks of light brightening the sky only slightly. Night's vale still clung to every corner, every stone, sheltering it from the morning light. The trees cast long arching shadows across the hillside, the grass still holding it's frosted glaze.
She'd made her way to the top, looking down on the valley below, the distant city barely audible even from this distance. Her eyes set upon an old looking warehouse at the edge. To far to see if there were any signs of movement, but it looked as if it'd been abandoned by the humans. If there were any dogs around, it would be likely that they would be denned somewhere near that. The possibility of food was better near the city, but that didn't really mean anything.. It was no telling where these dogs had settled.
Slowly the black dog retreated to her haunches, hackles arched slightly and head lowered, keen eyes still resting on the edge of the city. If she were going to find a home with the residing pack, she would have to let them know that she was here. Her head whipped back, muzzle parting in a bellowing howl that echoed hauntingly through the trees and clearings. Someone would come.. Either looking to chase her from their territory, or willing to accept her into their pack. Either way, she was ready to fight them if it came to it.

Rexanna relished in the wet grass, the fog giving the night an almost misty feel. It was calming to the ex-fighter, and though she was out because of less than pleasant reasons, the eerie scenery had a strange affect on the doberman. She was going slightly upwards, but wasn't quite sure where she was. Morning was coming soon though, so she wouldn't have to worry about ir for too much longer.
So the Balto queen kept going, figuring once the fog thinned out and she got a bit of light she'd head home. Sitting around wasn't her thing, and the last she checked she was heading the right way; though the highway should have been close enough to hear had she been right. Uhg, what kind of queen has no sense of direction. She was dar from directionally challenged, but in this weather she wasn't the most accurate of travellers.
Besides, before she got to the Balto pack, she had always gone wherever and dealt with the problems when she met them. And as a fighting animal, she had enough problems for quite a few dogs. It was almost impossible to stay in one area for long, dogs were always threatening and fighting. . . back then it was exhillerating, but now, even thinking about it made Rexanna tired.
How did a dog like me become the Balto queen? Really, Alto must have seen something in her that she didn't because Balto dogs were peaceful, quiet, calm, kind, everything that didn't come without difficulty to Rexanna. She was often sarcastic, impatient, and reckless. . . part of the reason she was out in the first place.
This mess with the Mafia and Karia pack was so rediculous, she couldn't rest knowing that they could show up any minute. . . that her pack wasn't truley safe until the animals were run out of Raymount forever.
. . . speaking of the Karia pack, with the sun rising, and the fog clearing up; Rexanna immediately knew where she was. "Oh great." She growled curtly, turning toward the closest exit to this territory to her. But. . . then she heard a howl. Some mutt wanted to join this pack. . .
Feuled by curiosity and a touch of anger, Rexanna slunk closer to the area she heard the howl come from, hazel eyes searching for the dog that made the call.

Lopped ears perked up, listening to the sounds of the morning, the air was still, a little to still for her liking. Birds were quiet except for the occasional chatter of a frightened sparrow. Her howl had silenced a lot of them, but even so, she couldn't help feeling that someone was watching her, waiting just out of view. Her eyes narrowed and she scanned the valley in front of her. Nothing, only empty shadows and motionless clouds of fog that clung to blades of grass. At least what she could see of the area.
Not a move was made, and she continued sitting where she was, tightening her muscles so that she would be ready to leap to her paws at any given moment. She could smell it, the scent of another dog. It didn't hold the same scent as the territory. Could that mean that they would be hostile? A grunt left Amity's throat, if they wanted a fight then let them come, if not then all would be well. Even so, it could be a member of the group that lived here, who'd been out on some other territory for a while, it was doubtful, but who knows what went on around here. She kept silent, waiting to see if the other would come closer. To anyone else it may not have even seemed she'd realized they were there, but she most definitely had.
Hackles bristled, she felt as if ten thousand eyes were on her, searching her.. She was probably just being paranoid again. The scent was drawing closer, and she could make out the tang of feminine odor. Amityville tilted her head, listening for the sound of paw steps on the still frosted ground.

Rexanna froze, hearing the growl from the other dog's muzzle. The other was good, to recognize another's scent so quickly. Shoot, she knew she was there. Even so, the doberman didn't split, this dog wasn't part of this pack yet; she could talk to a loner without harm being done.
"Hey now, if I wanted to fight you'd know." Rexanna spoke, an amused hint to her sarcastic tone. Eventually she had figured that it was better to introduce herself than have the other spring out of paranoia.
Rexanna stepped out, now close enough for the other female to see her, but far enough away to give the girl some space. She didn't look like one that did great having her space invaded, but then again neither was she. . . "So you want to be a Karia." The queen's bark was sharp, but almost gentle; a skill she had earned while living in Balto lands. Dogs were so kind there, it was much too easy to scare them off. . .
Needless to say, the female looked the part of said pack; muscular, intimidating in the sense that she had quite a few inches on Rexxana's own height. Though, so did Rexxana; scarred, muscular and a bit intimidating at first glance. "Would it be rude to ask you what lead you to these pack lands?"
